You can use either an electric trolling motor or a 25-hp gas motor. Whatever type of motor you choose, you can be sure that both of these motors are proven to be very efficient. After installing the outboard motor you can now add the pontoon boat seats, swim ladders, side rails and the steering console wheel. It may sound simple to build a boat because the truth is it the project is simple with a pontoon boat kit since all of the materials are ready for assembly.
Maintaining your pontoon boat is never a problem because you can use ordinary household cleaners or you can also wash it using your garden hose and a sponge.
A basic pontoon boat kit can be purchased for $1800 while a higher model costs around $2000. Shipping is not included.
Almost all of the components of the pontoon boat can be shipped via UPS except for the marine plywood flooring. If you will buy the marine plywood flooring from the pontoon boat kit maker they will ship it separately through an ordinary courier. Shipping is generally affordable so it should not be a concern.
