1. 11:00a.m. GMT – meaning 7:00p.m. Singapore and 10:00p.m. Sydney on Mondays, Wednesdays and Friday
2. 8:00p.m. GMT on every other day.
Players will find that not many major online tournaments are held at such favourable times for those based in the Asia Pacific.
It is not, however, just the timings of these events that are attractive. On 19 March 2007 (Monday), only 350 players registered for this tournament (the buy-in is only USD100) – To break even for these daily events Mansion requires 1000 players!!!
This therefore represents significant player value for players playing at such timings. If the 8:00p.m. GMT guaranteed tournaments are included, Mansion averages 529 players per day and even then the prizes are still very significant in value for the individual player. As per most tournaments the top 10% of players are paid-off, so this means that you have to beat a fairly small field to be ‘in the money’.
In fact this allows for more interesting tournaments as well, players will find. A quick view of the names of the players’ lists show that the scheduling as such attracts different players from different parts of the globe.
