Splitting, doubling down, and surrendering are options available to you, the Black Jack player, that are not available to the dealer. Then, using this information, you can make better guesses as to what cards you and the dealer are likely to be dealt, and you can make all your decisions accordingly. That’s really all there is to it. With the right strategy, there’s nothing stopping you from making money hand over fist playing Black Jack!
