Recommended Chocolate Chip Bar Recipe

Chocolate is a very agreeable food that many people value and love to eat. There are many different forms and recipes for this food and among them is the chocolate chip bar recipe which can range from anything made with chocolate chips to cookies. A chocolate chip bar is usually in the form of a brownie or bars which are cut from a flat cake like dessert and then packaged into bars. There are several variations to this like the chocolate peanut butter bar and others.

What You Need For Chocolate Chip Bars

To make chocolate chip bars, you will need two cups flour, one half cup wheat germ, one half teaspoon baking soda, one cup softened butter, thee fourth cup packed brown sugar, three fourth cup white sugar, two eggs, one teaspoon vanilla and one cup of chocolate chips.

Steps To Make A Chocolate Chip Bar

Preheat the oven up to 375 degrees and prepare a 10 x 15 inch jelly roll pan. If you have no available jelly roll pan for your chocolate chip bar recipe, you can use smaller pans. You might want to adjust the baking time if you do this. You do not need to grease or line the shallow jelly roll pan with wax paper but if you wish to, you can.

To make chocolate chip bars, mix the first three ingredients well in a mixing bowl. Set aside. Mix the softened butter and the two kinds of sugars in a different mixing bowl until the mixture shows signs of being fluffy and light. Add the two eggs and vanilla to the mixture and blend well. When satisfied with the quality of blending of the sugar mixture, gradually add the flour mixture. For best results of the chocolate chip bar, you need to mix these well. Stir in the chocolate chips.

Pour the mixture for chocolate chip bars into the jelly roll pan. Spread well and then bake at 375 degrees for 20 – 25 minutes. After baking, let the finished product cool on a wire rack. This needs to be cool before one can slice and cut it into the preferred bar slices, usually rectangular. You can actually wrap the chocolate chip bars with see through cello wrap in different colors.

This recipe for chocolate chip bars is great for kids to have some form of project since the level of difficulty is not so high. The bars can last up to a week and usually yields up to 42 bars per recipe.
