Two Different Cases
In the first case, the owner of the record label is also the artist himself. Well! In that case it becomes hard to look after the business and also take care of the performance.
On the other hand, being only the producer of the label, one need good skills to interact with new talents, managers and also to promote the business.
Thus, an independent label may not be as big as the company labels, but it gives the internal satisfaction to the artist of being the owner of its own will.
